Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely improve the sealability of a housing by filling the liquid packing in a circumferential groove formed between butted faces of a cylindrical body constituting the housing and a lid body.
SOLUTION: A housing 31 of a planetary gear type reduction gear consists of a cylindrical body 32 consisting of a drum, a ring gear 33, etc., and a lid body 35. The ring gear 32 and the lid body 35 are fixed to each other by a bolt 36 in the condition in which butted faces 33A, 35A are butted. The bolt 36 is screwed into a screw hole 33B through a bolt through hole 35B. On the butted face 33A, a circumferential groove 34 is formed over the whole circumference of the butted face 33A on the inner side in the radial direction than the bolt 36. The space between the butted faces 33A, 35A is sealed by filling the liquid packing 38 in the circumferential groove 34.
