Abstract:

To restrain variation of a driving voltage of a plasma display panel.

A plasma display panel comprises: a front plate 2 having a protective layer 9; a back plate 10 having a partition wall 14; and an adhesion part 30 adhering at least one part of the partition wall 14 to one part of the protective layer 9. The adhesion part 30 includes B₂O₃. A surface of the protection layer 9 includes boron. A method for manufacturing the plasma display panel includes: providing the adhesion part 30 on the partition wall 14; opposing the front plate 2 to the back plate 10; and adhering one part of the partition wall 14 to the protection layer 9 by thermally treating the front plate 2 and the back plate 10. The adhesion part 30 has a glass component. A temperature of heat treatment is higher than a softening point of the glass component, and the front plate 2 and the back plate 10 are pressurized in heat treatment.
