To provide a PDP having a temperature suppression effect equivalent to or more than conventional ones even when a connected number of an FPC is reduced.
In a plasma display panel, a front plate and a back plate are arranged to face each other and sealed with a sealing member, the front plate including a dielectric layer and a protective film formed in the order on a front substrate on which a plurality of display electrodes comprising a plurality of scan electrodes and a plurality of sustain electrodes are formed, and the back plate including an insulator layer formed on a back substrate on which a plurality of data electrodes are formed. The sustain electrodes include a common electrode electrically short-circuiting between the sustain electrodes by a connection. The scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes include: first parts facing each other via a discharge gap; second parts arranged in parallel with the first parts at an interval from the first parts; and third parts connecting the first parts and the second parts and provided for each cell. A width of the connection is equal to or more than the total of the widths of the first part and the second part of each sustain electrode, and is equal to or less than the total of the widths of the width of adjacent two sustain electrodes and the distance between adjacent two sustain electrodes.
