Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large display device excellent in display quality.SOLUTION: The plasma tube array type display device is configured so that, in a large screen display device having a structure in which plural display sub modules formed by arranging plural plasma tubes are disposed in a longitudinal direction of the plasma tubes in a state that adjacent side ends are overlapped each other, the respective display sub modules have plural display electrode pairs extending in a direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the plasma tubes, the display electrode pairs constitute display cells arranged in the longitudinal direction of the respective plasma tubes. The plasma tubes have a light transmission sealing end which is sealed by melting an end of a glass pipe itself forming the plasma tube. On a top part of the outermost display electrode forming the outermost display cell on a side adjacent to the other display sub module, at least part of the light transmission sealing end of the plasma tube forming the other display sub module is overlapped.
