Title:
PLASTIC HOUSING EQUIPPED WITH FOLDING HINGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3714092
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide housings which are entirely formed of a plastic inclusive of bearing portions (brackets) of hinge portions arranged in both the housings of a display panel and an operation panel and at end portions of the same, and to impart durability to the housings so as to withstand repeated opening/closing operations.
SOLUTION: A first housing 1 and a second housing 4 molded of a plastic are connected together via a rotary hinge portion 5 in a foldable and openable manner. The bearing portion is comprised of first and second bearings 11, 14, and projective ribs. The first and second bearings 11, 14 molded of a plastic, are adjacently fitted into end portions of the first and second housings in one body. The projective ribs are formed in shaft holes defined by the first and second bearings along an axial direction. A spindle portion is comprised of first and second rotary bodies 22, 23, and a click mechanism. The first and second rotary bodies 22, 23 molded of a plastic, are axially supported by a metallic spindle 21 in a rotatable manner and having recessed ribs on the periphery thereof. The click mechanism temporarily stops and locks the first and second rotary bodies so that a predetermined rotational angle difference θ is relatively retained with respect to the spindle. Then, the spindle portion is fitted into the bearing portion.
