Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the lens which is excellent in all of low hygroscopicity, heat resistance, low double refractiveness, and weatherability and is well balanced in various kinds of characteristics by using a molding material contg. a specific hydrogenated polymer. CONSTITUTION:The double bonds of the arom. ring derived from the arom. vinyl monomer in the polymer are hydrogenated. Namely, this plastic lens consists of the molding material contg. the hydrogenated polymer obtd. by hydrogenating the arom. ring of the polymer of the arom. vinyl monomer of the arom. ring of the copolymer of the arom. vinyl monomer and one or >=2 kinds of other monomers copolymerizable with this monomer. The plastic lens which is excellent in all of the low hygroscopicity, heat resistance, low double refractiveness, and weatherability and is well balanced in various kinds of the characteristics is obtd. in this way.
