Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a plastic molding screw component and an assembly thereof which have required wear resistance and corrosion resistance and a toughness sufficient for preventing a failure, such as a breakage of a screw head and a cracking of a ring.
CONSTITUTION: A plastic molding screw component has a chemical composition containing 0.7-1.0% C, 0.1-2.0% Si, 0.1-2.0% Mn, 3.0% or less Ni, 6.0-10.0% Cr, 0.2-4.0% V, 2.1-10.0% Co, and 0.5-10.5% either or both of 0.5% or less W and 0.5-5.0% Mo in a 1:2 W/Mo ratio by weight. Fe and unavoidable impurities are also contained by the rest percentage. In a plastic molding screw assembly, the hardness of a check ring having this composition is not more than the hardness of a screw head.
