This plastic optical fiber cable is ≤1.5% in the thermal shrinkage rate in the axial direction of plastic optical fibers when the plastic optical fibers are heat-treated for 24 hours at 105°C, is ≤1/10,000 of the overall length of the plastic optical fiber cable in pistoning when the plastic optical fiber cable provided with the coating layer of the polyamide resin is heat-treated for 100 hours at 105°C, is ≤0.1 dB/m in the increase of the transmission loss after the heat treatment for 1000 hours at 105°C and is ≥15 N in the tear strength of the plastic optical fibers and the coating layer.
