Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a plastic optical fiber having a clad characterized by superior adhesion to a core and high heat resistance by forming the clad by a polymer containing metals and fluorine.
CONSTITUTION: In the plastic fiber having the core and clad consisting of synthesized high molecules, the clad is formed by the polymer containing metals (except alkaline metal) and fluorine.
