Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automate the changing of plate cylinder to printing unit.
CONSTITUTION: A plate cylinder changing arm 2 is provided on each printing unit 1. A plate cylinder changing track 5 is provided so as to correspond to each printing unit. Along a printing machine, a crane track 3 is provided so as to make the travelling of a plate cylinder carrying crane 6 possible. In addition, below one end of the crane track 3, a plate cylinder stocker 4 is arranged. The plate cylinder carrying crane 6 feeds an unused plate cylinder set on the plate cylinder stocker 4 to respective plate cylinder changing trucks 5, each of which is run in front of the printing unit 1 so as to change plate cylinders with each other with the plate cylinder changing arm 2. The unloaded used plate cylinder is carried below the crane track 3. After that, the plate cylinder carrying crane 6 delivers the used plate cylinder to the plate cylinder stocker 4.
