Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the plate cylinder device for a gravure printer in which the operabilities of plate cylinder replacing and regulating operations are improved.
CONSTITUTION: This plate cylinder device for a gravure printer comprises a plate cylinder shaft 11 having a tapered engaging part 23 and a large-diameter engaging part 33 rotatably mounted in frames 18, 19 at the shaft ends, a plate cylinder 22 of a cylindrical shape removably mounted at the shaft 11 and having tapered openings 25, 34 at the axial ends, a removable tapered sleeve 35 between the part 33 of the shaft and the opening 34 of the plate, and the pressing member 44 of a tapered sleeve 35 mounted at the shaft movably along the axial direction. An operating shaft 47 and a tool 50 drivably coupled to the member 44 though the shaft 11 from the exterior of the frame 18 are provided.
