Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify further attachment and detachment of a plate cylinder by fixing an ink supply unit having a vertically movable ink pan for supplying ink to the cylinder and a plate cylinder supporting unit having a vertically movable plate cylinder support for holding the cylinder in an upper space of the pan to a truck.
SOLUTION: First, a plate cylinder support elevator 33 is driven to lift a plate cylinder support 31. A height of the support 31 which is calculated from a shaft position of a plate cylinder attaching unit 44 of a printing unit 40 and a diameter of the cylinder 35 is regulated by a plate cylinder position regulating means 34, and a plate cylinder 35 is carried on the support 31. Then, a plate cylinder transporting and inking device 10 is assembled in the unit 40. After the cylinder 35 is completely fixed to the unit 40, the support 31 is lowered, turned at 90°, and retracted from above an ink pan 21. An ink pan elevator 22 is operated to lift the pan 21 to a plate cylinder position, and printing ink supply is prepared. After the ink supply to the pan 21 is stabilized, the cylinder 35 is rotatably driven to start printing.
