A plate making apparatus 10 includes a plate making means 30 that performs platemaking of a screen master M by forming, outside the image area M, a blank space MY which is not printed, while forming the image area MG by punching the image information and the character information in order to printing. In the plate making apparatus 10, the direction information showing the front and rear direction, vertical direction, and the right and left direction of the screen master M are punched in the blank space MY by the plate making means 30.
