Abstract:
To provide a plate making method to stably improve the printing characteristics of a planographic printing plate having an aluminum plate as a supporting body using a silver complex salt diffusion transfer method.
In the plate making method of a planographic printing plate to treat a material having physical developing nuclei between an anodically oxidized aluminum supporting body and a silver halide emulsion layer with a developer containing alkanolamine, the developer does not contain thiosulfate or contains ≤0.03 mol thiosulfate per 1 liter of the developer. The development is carried out in such a manner that the weight reduction of aluminum oxide of the supporting body after development is ≤0.6 g per 1 m2.
