The plate member attaching device 1 supports a front panel 14 by panel supports 23 of a base panel 11 and dampers 12. The dampers 12 generate a first-step deformation through a vertical tiny push and, after that, a second-step deformation through a larger push. The dampers 12 deform themselves in a first direction by a push in a first direction and support the front panel 14 from the rear side under the first-step deformation.
