To simplify piping of a fluid supply/discharge dust to a plate type heat exchanger, particularly, a plate type heat exchanger having a plurality of heat exchange blocks.
The plate type heat exchanger is provided with the heat exchange blocks 1 having a number of heat exchange passages. It comprises headers 6, 7 extending along the edges of the heat exchange blocks 1 to form communication portions between the heat exchange passages. The headers 6, 7 have flow path connection portions 12, 13 for piping. The flow connection portions are arranged perpendicular to the edges of the heat exchange blocks along which the headers extend. In the headers 6, 7, guide plates 23, 24 are provided for guiding the flow of fluid to be supplied to or discharged from the heat exchange blocks 1 to routes via the flow path connection portions.
