Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a plating liquid at the inlet part of an electrode from returning and to prevent the external air from intruding and to minimize the set length of the electrode by adjusting an inflow angle of the plating liquid to the path line of a steel sheet in accordance with the line velocity. CONSTITUTION:The steel sheet 1 passes through a path which is formed of a upper and a lower electrodes 8, 9 and a flank plate and have a rectangular cross section and the plating is performed by supplying the plating liquid from an upper side and lower side thereof via a liquid header 11. In the air-bone liquid holding type electrode 10, the plating liquid inflowing angle 12 to the path line 2 of the steel sheet 1 is adjusted in accordance with the line velocity. It is preferable that the angle 12 be 25 deg. at a line velocity of <=400mpm, 30 deg. at 400 to 600mpm, 40 deg. at 600 to 800mpm and 50 deg. at 800 to 1000mpm. By this adjustment, the returning 13 of the liquid at the inlet part of the electrode is kept to be minimized and simultaneously the intrusion of the external air 14 is prevented, thereby preventing the decrease in the effective length of the electrode.
