To obtain a pleated product designed so that various forms of beltlike patterns can randomly be formed in a pleated fabric and capable of more improving designability of the product and to provide a method for processing the same.

This method for processing the pleated product comprises a primary processing for feeding a fabric 6 to the peripheral surface of a processing roller 1 having a heater 1a and forming folds in one direction of the fabric 6 by pleating and a secondary processing for covering the fabric 6 with a paper pattern 5 in which creating holes 5a or creating notches 5b are formed, feeding the covered fabric 6 in the direction to intersect the orienting direction of the folds at right angles to the peripheral surface of the processing roller 1 and thereby bulging the fabric 6 from the creating holes 5a or creating notches 5b and forming a tie-dyed pattern in the secondary processing.
