To provide a natural fiber material excellent in bleating effect so as to readily and surely improve bleating of a natural fiber material by a method without causing any environmental problem and develop wider applications of bleated products and improve comformability for wearing.
This invention relates to a method for bleating a fiber material containing a natural fiber as a main component with a hydrophilic dichlorotriazine-based compound alone or a mixture thereof in the presence of aliphatic and/or aromatic polyhydric alcohols, polyvalent amino compounds, polyhydric phenols, monosaccharides, polysaccharides, complex polysaccharides or proteins alone or a mixture thereof as a crosslinking auxiliary. The bleating method is friendly to global and working environments and has large bleating effect.
