To provide a plug connector with large strength against opening or prying and of a structure easy to assemble.
The plug connector whose grip member 5 arranged so as to surround a part of the outer periphery of a housing 4 equipped with a plug part electrically connected to a counterpart connector is divided into two cases of an upper case 5A and a lower case 5B is provided with a right and left pair of upper hook parts 9A and a right and left pair of lower hook parts 10A, respectively, at two top and bottom places at right and left side faces in the vicinity of a plug base part of the housing 4, and an upper-case side hook part 9B in correspondence with and capable of insertion-coupling with an upper hook part 9A at a right and left inside faces of the upper case 5, as well as a lower-case side hook part 10B in correspondence with and capable of insertion-coupling with a lower hook part 10A at a right and left inside faces of the lower case 5B. The corresponding hook parts are to be insertion-coupled with each other to mount the upper case 5A and the lower case 5B on the housing 4.
