Title:
PLUG OF OPTICAL CONNECTOR, SOCKET OF OPTICAL CONNECTOR, AND OPTICAL CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3378192
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protecting function on the end surface of an optical fibers cable.
SOLUTION: An optical connector consists of a plug 200 provided on an end part of an optical fiber cable 100 and a socket 800 which engages the plug 200, which is equipped with a housing part 210 fixed to the above end part, a ferrule 220 projected from in the housing 210 slidably along the optical fiber cable 100 and engaged detachably with an insertion hole part 810 of the socket 800, and an elastic body part 280 which biases the ferrule 220 toward its tip. While the ferrule 220 does not receive external pressure larger than a given pressure toward its base end side, the end surface 110a of the optical fiber cable 100 is biased by the elastic body part 280, so that the optical fiber cable is stored in the ferrule 220 inside the tip surface 220a of the ferrule 220.
