Title:
PLUSH-TONED NONWOVEN FABRIC FOR INTERNAL TRIM MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION OF THE FABRIC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3837599
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain the subject sophisticated nonwoven fabric with adequate raised-toned appearance and touch while using split fibers.
SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric for internal trim materials is so designed as to provide the surface of a nonwoven fabric 3 afforded by needle-punching blended fibers comprising ≥50 wt.% split short fibers and synthetic short fibers with piles 6 and plushes 9 comprising further split fibers of the above split fibers and the synthetic short fibers and having a height greater than that of the piles 6. This nonwoven fabric is obtained by the following process: blended fibers comprising ≥50 wt.% short fibers and synthetic short fibers are needle- punched to form a nonwoven fabric 3, which is then subjected to stitch-bond processing to form piles 6 on the surface of the nonwoven fabric 3, the reverse surface of the nonwoven fabric 3 is subsequently needle-punched to convert the split fibers and the synthetic short fibers both constituting the nonwoven fabric 3 into plushes 9 having a height greater than that of the piles 6 on the surface of the nonwoven fabric 3, or simultaneously with the plush formation, the split fibers as the plushes are further split.
