To highly accurately measure an inner diameter and a form along an entire periphery of even a deformed hole by providing a groove on a circumference of an air exhaust port part on a side face of a probe and forming an air layer in a gap between the hole and the probe when the probe is inserted into the hole.
A probe 10 has a tip serving as a measurement support portion 12 and a flange 13 with a larger diameter than that of the portion 12 formed before the portion 12. The measurement support portion 12 is inserted into a hole to be measured. Four air exhaust ports 15 are opened on a side face of the cylindrical measurement support portion 12, and a groove 16 is formed on a circumference of the side. Air exhausted from the ports 15 propagates in the groove 16 to spread in a gap between the portion 12 and an inner periphery of the hole to be measured, forming an air layer. Since air thus spreads in the entire gap at a fitting part between the portion 12 of the probe 10 and the hole at the time of measurement, a form of any hole can be sensed.
