Abstract:

To provide a pneumatic radial tire for heavy load that can effectively prevent generation of eccentric wear in a shoulder land.

A pneumatic radial tire for heavy load is formed by providing a circumferential main groove 17 on a tread surface while disposing in sequence, at least one layer of circumferential direction belt layers 12, at least one layer of inclined belt layers 13 with an angle, and tread rubber 15, wherein width direction length of a circumferential direction belt layer is 70% or more of width of tire cross section. A circumferential minor groove 16 is provided in a tread surface region at outside in the tire width direction more than the circumferential main groove that positions at outermost side of the tire width direction and at inside in the tire width direction more than the width direction end of the circumferential direction of the belt layer. A wear sacrificed land part 18 is formed at outside in the tire width direction of the circumferential minor groove by the circumferential minor groove. The groove width of circumferential is taken as 4 mm or more and not more than the groove width of the circumferential main groove and the width of the wear sacrificed land part is taken in the range of 8-25 mm.
