PURPOSE: To reduce the maximum fluctuation value of force acting in a front and a rear direction of a tire to improve its durability for high speed running by establishing an angle formed by a joint part of a tread and at least one of joint parts of a reinforcing layer with a tire shaft as a center within a specified angular range.
CONSTITUTION: A tread 2 of a tire 1 is allocatedly provided with a steel belt 6 formed of plural steel cord layers mutually laid on the top of another on the radial outside of a carcass 5, and a reinforcing layer 7 formed of organic fiber cords on the radial outside of the steel belt 6. The reinforcing layer 7 is formed of a full-band and an edge-band reinforcing layer 8, 9 which cover the full-width and both ends of the steel belt 6 respectively. In this case, an angle α or β formed by lines connecting the center (O) to each of joint portions A, B between the tread 2 and the full-band reinforcing layer 8 or to each of joint portions A, C between the tread 2 and the edge-band reinforcing layer 9 is established within a range from 150° to 210° respectively.
