Abstract:
PURPOSE: To heighten the lateral rigidity and enhance the maneuvering stability without impairing the durability of a tire.
CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic radial tire is equipped with a left and a right bead part 1, side wall parts 2 leading to these bead parts 1, and a tread part 3 continuing while straddling the two side wall parts 2. A radial carcass 4 is furnished consisting of at least one carcass ply 4a, 4b where a bead core 1a is embedded in each bead part and around it their end parts are turned up, and therein the flatness is made under 55%, and each side wall part 2 is composed of an inner layer side wall rubber 2a and an outer layer side wall rubber 2b, and the modulus of elasticity of the former 2a is made greater than that of the latter 2b.
