PURPOSE: To improve the high speed durability and uniformity, and prevent production of rust in steel belt reinforcement layers by disposing a belt reinforcement layer including the steel belt reinforcement layers at a tread part, and coating the belt reinforcement layer with a thin film reinforcement layer consisting of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.
CONSTITUTION: Two steel belt reinforcement layers 5 consisting to steel cord are disposed between a tread 1 and a carcass 3, and an ultra--high molecular weight polyethylene thin film reinforcement layer 6 is disposed covering the tread surface side of it. At this time, the steel belt reinforcement layers 5d, 5u have their cords in the opposite direction to each other at an angle of 15°-30°, for example, to the tire circumference crossing each other. In addition, the steel belt reinforcement layer 5u on the tread surface side is narrower by at least 5mm respectively at both end parts then the lower side steel belt reinforcement layer 6. The thin film reinforcement layer 6 covers the whole of the tread surface side of the steel belt reinforcement layer 5, and its width is set to be larger than that of the steel belt reinforcement layer 5d on the lower side.
