To provide a pneumatic tire capable of compatibly attaining operating stability, driving performance and braking performance on an ice-snow road surface on a high level, when sipes are formed in a block.
In this pneumatic tire 1, the sipes 40 extending toward the tread width direction are formed in a plurality in the block 30 formed of a peripheral directional groove 10 extending toward the tire peripheral direction and a width directional groove 20 extending toward the tread width direction. The block 30 is formed with a notch groove 50 having one end opening in the peripheral directional groove 10 and the other end terminating in the block 30 so as to become shorter than the sipes 40. The notch groove 50 is arranged between a plurality of sipes 40, and extends toward the same direction as the extension direction of the sipes 40. A width (W) orthogonal to the extension direction of the notch groove 50 is equal to an interval (S) of the sipes 40 adjacent in the tire peripheral direction.
