The content of sulfur in the rubber composition for the sidewalls and the rubber composition for coating the case cord satisfies the equation: -0.2<(the sulfur content of the rubber composition for coating the case cord to 100 pts.mass of the rubber component)-(the sulfur content of the rubber composition for the sidewalls to 100 pts.mass of the rubber composition)<1.1. In addition, in the pneumatic tire having a clinch and the case, the clinch includes a rubber composition for the clinch, in which the content of the sulfur is >1.71 pts.mass and <2.9 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. The case is prepared by coating the case cord with the rubber composition for the case cord, and the sulfur contents of the rubber composition for the clinch and the rubber composition for coating the case cord satisfies the equation: -0.6<(the content of the sulfur to 100 pts.mass of the rubber component of the rubber composition for coating the case cord)-(the content of sulfur to 100 pts.mass of the rubber component of the rubber composition for the clinch)<1.1.
