Abstract:
The present invention provides a pneumatic tire with improved durability. In this tire, the bead includes a bead core, a first apex extending radially outwardly from the bead core, and second apex in contact with the first apex and situated between the first apex and the turned-back portion of a carcass ply. The second apex gel tapers radially inward. The hardness of the first apex is greater than the hardness of the second apex. The inner side end of the second apex rubber is located radially outward of the outer side end of the cross-section of the wire rod than the cross section of the bead core. The ratio of the height from the outer end of the cross-section of the wire to the inner end of the second apex to the width of the bead core is 0.4 or more and 0.9 or less.
