Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an ice maker which achieves a making of ice of an ice making equipment using neither heat medium nor brine.
CONSTITUTION: An air compressor 1, a cooler 2 for cooling compressed air obtained from the compressor using a heat medium outside a system, an air expansion device 3 which expands air passing through the cooler to obtain a low temperature air and a heat exchanger 4 for making ice which makes ice using the low temperature air passing through the expansion device are arranged in the order of the flow of the air in an air circulation path. Then, a refrigeration cycle is formed by using the air as heat medium. In a pneumatic type ice maker thus obtained, moreover, a heat exchanger 5 is provided to perform a heat exchange between the air before the entry thereof into the air expander 3 and the air passing through the heat exchanger 4 for making ice.
