Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of pores caused by sagging of a rolled web due to gravity in feeding a paper material from a web roll even in the case of absorption of moisture, and to prevent occurrences of tearing, breakage, and creases of base paper because winding deviates in an MD direction, is twisted, and is squeezed by the pores.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: An end surface of a rolled web is horizontally placed with a winding axis turning in a vertical direction on a horizontal table rotatable about a vertical axis. When a means for removing creases and tearing of tissues can be used in a cutting process, a method of manufacturing pocket tissues fully automatically operates processes subsequent to a folding process at a line speed higher than a line speed permitted by a means for inspecting and removing the creases and tearing of the tissue. An apparatus for manufacturing the pocket tissue is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
