To improve reagent and fluid packages for point-care (POC) medical diagnostic systems.SOLUTION: A system 100 relating to a medical diagnostic system includes: a housing 110; a first receptacle 120 in the housing for receiving a reagent container 122; a second receptacle 130 in the housing for receiving a working fluid and waste container 132, where the second receptacle 130 is larger than the first receptacle 120; two reagent access needles positioned and fixed in the first receptacle 120, and each positioned to access the reagent container 122; and a working fluid access needle and a waste access needle that are positioned and fixed in the second receptacle 130, and are positioned to access the working fluid and waste container 132.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
