Title:
POLARIZATION SPECTACLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0743651
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain polarization spectacles whose polarization axes can be easily shifted in a direction at 90 and which can be also used for a space saving type target indicator by providing a polarizing optical axis switching means for mutually deviating the polarization axes of polarization plates for right and left eyes in a direction at 90° and also respectively shifting the polarization axes of the polarization plates for right and left eyes in a direction at 90°.

CONSTITUTION: The polarization plates 11a and 11b are fixed on holders 12a and 12b, and the holder 12a and 12b are rotatably supported by a frame 10. The polarization axis of the polarization plate 11a is in the direction at 25°, and the polarization axis of the polarization plate 11b is in the direction at 115°. When a stereo scopic target is viewed through the polarization spectacles 10, a left target and a right target can be viewed as if they floated in the air due to a melt image. Gears are formed on the outer peripheral parts of the holders 12a and 12b, and by rotating a lever 13 from a stopper 14 to a stopper 15, the polarization axes of the polarization plates 11a and 11b are rotated by 90°. When the stereo scopic target is viewed in this state, the left target and the right target are viewed as if they sink under the surface of a screen due to the melt image.
