Abstract:
To provide a UV cut polarizing film which can effectively shield light in the visible short-wavelength range and can suppress coloring.SOLUTION: A UV cut polarizing film has a cholesteric resin layer, a first optical anisotropic layer and a linear polarizer in this order. The cholesteric resin layer has a selective reflection range showing spectral transmittance of 65% or less with respect to non-polarized light. The selective reflection range includes a long wavelength side wavelength λ1 showing spectral transmittance of 65%, a short wavelength side wavelength λ2 showing spectral transmittance of 65%, a long wavelength side wavelength λ3 showing spectral transmittance of 55% and an intermediate wavelength λc between the wavelengths λ1 and λ2. The wavelength λ1, the wavelength λ3 and the wavelength λc satisfy a predetermined relation. In-plane retardation at a measurement wavelength of 590 nm of the first optical isotropic layer is "λc/4-20nm" or more and "λc/4+20nm" or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
