Abstract:

To provide a polarizer in which reduction in transmissivity is inhibited under high temperature environment.SOLUTION: The polarizer comprises: a polarization element formed by absorbing and oriented a dichroic dye into and on a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer; and a transparent protective film stacked on at least one surface of the polarization element. The polarization element and the transparent protective film are bonded to each other with an adhesive layer formed of adhesive containing urea system compound and cyclodextrins. The urea system compound is at least one type selected from the group consisting of urea, urea derivative, thiourea and thiourea derivative.SELECTED DRAWING: None
