Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing tape that can deal with a complicated face stitch of a material to be ground and can be used repeatedly in grinding.SOLUTION: A polishing tape 1 has a flexible lengthy base material 11 and a polishing layer 12, which is made of polishing abrasive grains and polishing abrasive grain holding materials, formed on the base material. In the polishing layer are included a part 21 made of abrasive grains for rough processing and a part 31 made of abrasive grains for finish-processing. By distributing the parts in a longitudinal direction of the polishing tape, rough processing and finish- processing can be performed simultaneously with the same polishing tape. A cross section shape of the polishing tape is formed in an odd-shape other than a rectangular shape so as to deal with a complicated shape and the polishing tape is formed in a loop shape so that the tape can be used repeatedly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
