Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize pollution-free bonding, by a method wherein the surface of a polyolefin base material or film is coated with a chlorinated polyolefin resin composition after merely treating the surface with an alcohol or an anionic or nonionic surfactant or washing it with water.
CONSTITUTION: A solution consisting of a polyolefin (A) chlorinated to a chlorine content of 5-70% and a mixture (B) of at least one (meth)acrylic monomer that can dissolve component A (e.g. cyclohexyl methacrylate), if necessary, mixed with an oligomer (C) having a double bond in the molecule is homogenized with an aqueous solution of a dispersant (e.g. gelatin), an emulsifying agent (e.g. a polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether), a polymerization initiator (e.g. benzoyl peroxide) and a chain transfer regulator (e.g. a mercaptan) to give an emulsion, which is dropped in a reactor having deionized water charged therein beforehand to effect polymerization by stirring in an atmosphere of nitrogen.
