Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyacetal copolymer which is excellent in mechanical physical properties, durability, impact resistance, thermal stability, moldability and chemical resistance, and reduces a generation amount of formaldehyde; a method for producing a polyacetal copolymer; and a polyacetal resin composition.SOLUTION: A polyacetal copolymer contains a specific oxyalkylene unit of 0.00033 mol or more and 0.005 mol or less per 1 mol of an oxymethylene unit in a polymer containing repeating oxymethylene units (-CHO-) as a main component, has a weight average molecular weight (Mx) of 140,000 or more and 600,000 or less in absolute molecular weight measurement by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) using a multi-angle light-scattering detector, and has a formaldehyde gas generation rate at 230°C for 90 minutes under nitrogen gas stream of 35 mass ppm/min or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
