To provide a polyacetal resin composition excellent in mechanical properties such as stiffness and toughness, as well as sliding property to metals at a high temperature; and a method of producing the same.
The polyacetal resin composition includes 100 pts.mass of a polyacetal resin (I); 5-50 pts.mass of a light calcium carbonate (II) which has an average particle diameter of 50-500 nm, and pH of 9.2-10.0 measured according to JIS K5101 test method, and has not been surface-treated; a 12-27C monovalent fatty acid (III-I); a 28C or more monovalent fatty acid (III-II); and a calcium salt of a fatty acid (IV); wherein the mass ratio of the sum of the fatty acid (III-I) and the fatty acid (III-II) to the light calcium carbonate (II), i.e., [(III-I)+(III-II)]/(II), is 0.020-0.050, and the mass ratio of the sum of the fatty acid (III-I) and the fatty acid (III-II) to the calcium salt of the fatty acid (IV), i.e., [(III-I)+(III-II)]/(IV), is 3-15.
