To provide a polyacetal resin composition for a sliding member which is easy to mold and has excellent friction/abrasion characteristics especially under low-speed high-load conditions and provide a sliding member formed from the composition.

The polyacetal resin composition for a sliding member comprises 100 pts.wt. of a polyacetal resin, 1-30 pts.wt. of strontium carbonate, 0.1-10 pts.wt. of a lubricating oil and, as an optional component, 0.5-15 pts.wt. of a whisker-like calcium carbonate. The sliding member formed by molding it is also provided.
