PURPOSE: The titled filaments, produced from a polyamide having specific constituent units as a material, having a high modulus in wetting and specificity in amorphous structure and crystallization characteristics and improved durability in wetting with little deterioration by fatigue.
CONSTITUTION: Polyamide monofilaments, produced from a polyamide having constituent units expressed by formulas I and II (x is 11 or 12; y is 6; z is 9, 10 or 12), and having the initial modulus (Md) at 20°C and 65% RH and initial modulus (Mw) in wetting satisfying the relation Mw/Md≥0.85, ≤100°C, particularly ≤98°C, peak temperature Ttanδmax of dynamic loss tangent at 110Hz, no exothermic peak due to cold crystallization in the second run of DSC measurement, in which the filaments are quenched with liquid N2 and then heated, and further of improved durability and dimensional stability in use under wet conditions.
