Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new polycarbosilane useful as a heat-resistant material, a preceramic, a conductive material, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [Me is methyl; R1 is a (cyclo)alkyl, an aryl or an aralkyl; A is an alkylene, an arylene, an aralkylene, an oli. gosilanylene, etc.; (m)+(n) is ≥1], e.g. poly(1,4,5,8-tetrahydro-1,4,5,8- tetrasila-1,1,4,4,5,5,8,8-octamethyl-3,7-diphenylanthracene-2, 6-diyl-1,4-phenylene) poly (1,4,5,8-tetrahydro-1,4,5,8-tetrasila-1,1,4,4,5,5,8,8-octamethyl-3,6- diphenylanthracene-2,7-diyl-1,4-phenylene). In addition, the compound of formula I can be synthesized by reacting 1,2,4,5-tetrakis(dimethylsilyl)benzene with a compound of formula II.
