Abstract:
To provide a polycarboxylic acid-based polymer capable of achieving sufficiently high strength when used as a binder and further to provide a method for producing the same and a binder containing the polymer.SOLUTION: There is provided a polycarboxylic acid-based polymer which contains a structural unit (A) derived from a monomer comprising one or more compounds selected from a compound having two or more hydroxyl groups, an alkanolamine compound, a compound having two or more amino groups, a dicarboxylic acid compound and/or an acid anhydride having an unsaturated double bond and a structural unit (B) of the following general formula (1). (wherein, R1 group represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group. R2 group represents a hydrogen atom or an organic group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms. Provided that an asterisk (*) represents an atom contained in other structural units of the same or different species to which the structural unit represented by the general formula (1) is bonded.)SELECTED DRAWING: None
