Title:
POLYESTER-BASED RESIN AND SUBLIMATION TRANSFER IMAGE RECEPTOR USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1060063
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a polyester resin suitable as a dyeable resin for a sublimation transfer image receptor capable of providing a high-sensitivity image without using a plasticizer, an additive, etc., and provide the sublimation transfer image receptor having a dyeable layer containing the polyester resin.

This polyester-based resin consists essentially of a graft product, comprising a main chain which is a polyester having unsaturated bonds and a side chain that is a polymer of a radically polymerizable unsaturated monomer and having ≥40°C peak temperature of tan δ, ≥15°C glass transition temperature and 0.15-1.5 molecular weight expressed in terms of reduced viscosity. The sublimation transfer image receptor has a high dyeing sensitivity and the resultant image is excellent in durability and preservation stability.
