Title:
POLYESTER COMBINED YARN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004218155
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a polyester combined yarn having little fluffs and high quality and giving a cloth having good color tone, luxurious worsted fabric touch and excellent stretchability and non-glittering effect.

The combined filament yarn is produced by blending and air-interlacing two kinds of fibers having different thermal shrinkages. The two kinds of fibers are formed into a latent crimping conjugate fiber composed of two kinds of polyesters conjugated in a side-by-side state or an eccentric core-sheath state. The two kinds of polyesters are produced by the polycondensation in the presence of a catalyst composed of a reaction product of a specific titanium compound and a phosphorus compound. The boiling water shrinkage of the low-shrinkage fiber is 0.5-8.0%, the boiling water shrinkage of the high shrinkage fiber is ≥10% and the crimping ratio of the high-shrinkage fiber after the boiling water treatment is ≥1.5%.
