To provide a polyester conjugate short fiber capable of processing at a low temperature in thermobonding, particularly when used as a binder fiber, and excellent in heat adhesiveness, and a short fiber nonwoven fabric capable of being processed at a low temperature in thermobonding by putting the same between fiber structures and the like, having a small rate of heat shrinkage in thermobonding treatment, capable of bonding fiber structures and the like with good dimensional stability and excellent in adhesiveness.
The polyester conjugate short fiber consists of a dicarboxylic acid component comprising terephthalic acid as the main component and a diol component comprising 50 mole% 1,6-hexanediol, contains 0.01-5.0 mass% crystal nucleus agent, and is composed of a polyester A having 100-150C melting point (TmA) and a polylactic acid-based polymer having (TmA-30C) to (TmA+30C) melting point. In the polyester conjugate short fiber, the polyester A is arranged to occupy at least a part of the fiber surface in the cross sectional shape of a single yarn, and the fiber length is 1-100 mm.
