Abstract:
To provide a polyester fiber having a modified cross section and used for papermaking, excellent in dispersing property in papermaking and also capable of obtaining a sheet excellent in bulky property and having a proper luster.
This polyester fiber having a modified cross section and used for papermaking has a cross section of the fiber such that it has three projecting parts and its sides connecting adjacent projecting parts are a straight line or bend in the central direction, and also has ≥1.5 ratio of the diameter of a circumcircle of the fiber cross section to the diameter of an incircle, and 5-15 crimps/25 mm number of crimps and 3-20 mm fiber length.
