Title:
POLYESTER FILM FOR MAGNETIC CARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08138230
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the wear of a bar coater by incorporating a specified amt. of titanium dioxide particles having a specified average particle diameter and a specified amt. of inert particles having a specified Mohs hardness and a specified average particle diameter.

CONSTITUTION: This polyester film contains 3-20wt.% titanium dioxide particles having 0.20-0.50μm average particle diameter and 0.1-0.9wt.% inert particles having a Mohs hardness of ≤4, preferably ≤3.5 and 1.0-5.0μm average particle diameter. When the Mohs hardness of the inert particles is >4, the wear of a roll coming in contact with this film at the time of film formation or the wear of a bar coater in an in-line coating process is remarkably caused. In the in-line coating process, a coating layer is formed during film formation so as to impart adhesiveness to ink and antistatic property.
