Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for producing an optical film, which can be used as a base material for achieving production of an optical film having high productivity and uniform physical properties in a width direction.SOLUTION: The polyester film for producing an optical film shows a thermal shrinkage of 3.0% or less in a film MD direction at 150°C and a thermal shrinkage of 1.5% or less in a TD direction, and satisfies expression (I): 0.020≤|1-(NA+NB)/(NC×2)|≤0.300. In the expression, NA represents a plane orientation degree at a position at a distance of 500 mm in a given direction (A direction) of the TD direction from the center of the film in the TD direction; NB represents a plane orientation degree at a position at a distance of 500 mm in a direction (B direction) opposite to the A direction of the TD direction from the center of the film in the TD direction; and NC represents a plane orientation degree at the center of the film in the TD direction.SELECTED DRAWING: None
